A escasos metros de la entrada a la Gran Muralla China de Jiayuguan está la oficina de turismo, donde además de vender los tickets para entrar al recinto os darán información sobre esta provincia china (Gansú), la ciudad (Jiayuguan), el impresionante desierto de Gobi, donde se encuentra este tramo de la Gran Muralla y sobre China en general. También os darán información sobre alojamiento y sitios donde comer. Tienen mapas gratuitos de la ciudad y hablan un poco de inglés, cosa que se agradece por estos sitios tan remotos donde la lengua de Shakespeare no es demasiado conocida.
