La tour de la commanderie est tout simplement le plus vieux bâtiment de Nancy ! Elle date du XIIème et se trouve toujours dans un parfait état de conservation et domine la place qui porte son nom. Construite dans le style roman, elle est le dernier vestige d'une ancienne église. En 1140 se trouvaient tout autour d'autres bâtiments, un cimetière ainsi qu'une chapelle. Aujourd'hui, la tour de la commanderie contraste avec son environnement composé d'immeubles (tout aussi beaux) du début XXème.
The tower of the Commandery is simply the oldest btiment Nancy! It dates from the Twelfth and is always in a perfect state of preservation and dominates the square that bears his name. Built in the Romanesque style, it is the last vestige of an old church. In 1140 were around other buildings, a cemetery and a chapel.
