Colorful and striking mosaics
In every corner, when least expected, London surprises you, either on the surface or the subsurface. The underground station at Tottenham Court Road is an example. In the early '80s the Scottish artist and teacher Eduardo Paolozzi designed colorful and striking mosaics for this underground station. His style is often considered as the precursor of Pop Art, as many of his creations have surreal pictures and impossible mixes that provide an opportunity to play and dive into the work. In each corridor of the station there different motifs, even on the escalator walls.
