Tortuga Bay

You have to walk a 2.5 kilometer track to reach the beach, but it is well worth it, white sand and possible bathing, next to iguanas, flamingos and pelicans. You have to register to enter and you can visit a marine reserve exhibition.. Even if you go in summer there is almost always nobody else there.

You're not supposed to swim on the main beach, but you can still surf there
