Torreón de Lillo

Este torreón es el emblema de la villa y se encuentra en pleno centro de [poi=64172]Puebla de Lilo[/poi] y alberga en su planta baja la oficina de información turística del municipio, y en las dos superiores un Centro de Interpretación de la Naturaleza, con paneles explicativos y sala de exposiciones dedicadas al entorno en el que se encuentra (Picos de Europa) y rutas que se pueden realizar. Desde su existencia en el siglo XIV ha tenido diversos propietarios: Pedro Suárez de Quiñones, sus descendientes los Condes de Luna, el Duque de Frías, y finalmente, a principios del siglo XX, el Ayuntamiento. Fue entonces cuando sufrió profundas reformas: Se abrieron ventanas, se quitaron las almenas, se cambió la puerta y el tejado por otro de pizarra. Está construido en piedra y tiene forma circular. Fue declarado Bien de Interés Cultural en 1949.
