The most notable building to be found in the Plaza Mayor
The most notable building to be found in the Plaza Mayor is the Town Hall. It displays a symmetrical facade, and it is two stories high. It is supported by stone columns which form arcades on the ground floor and it is located very close to San Antolin Street, which leads directly to the Collegiate Church with the same name. On this side, the façade is a memorial plaque paying homage to Miguel de Cervantes. On the first floor, there is a balcony with an iron railing. The building is crowned by a small pediment which houses the clock, shield and crown of the town.
