Tisza Park

Como su nombre lo indica, el “Tisza Park” es un área verde ubicada en la orilla del río Tisza a su paso por la ciudad de Szolnok, en el centro de Hungría. Con varias esculturas y monumentos, es uno de los sitios más bonitos para caminar en la zona. Desde aquí se pueden ver algunos de los edificios más importantes de la ciudad, como el antiguo Teatro Szigliget y la Iglesia Reformada. Especialmente en un día soleado, sitios como el “Tisza Park” harán que quieras quedarte más tiempo recorriendo otras pequeñas localidades húngaras fuera de Budapest. Si bien la capital es una de las ciudades más bonitas de Europa, si quieres ver cómo viven los magiares realmente, tienes que salir de ella y sumergirte en sitios tranquilos como éste. Para llegar al parque, lo más sencillo es caminar hacia el sur siguiendo la avenida “Magyar Utca”, que conecta al sitio con la plaza “Kossuth Lájos tér” en el casco histórico.

As the name implies, the "Tisza Park" is a green area located on the bank of the Tisza River as it passes through the city of Szolnok, in central Hungary. With several sculptures and monuments, it is one of the most beautiful places to walk in the area. From here you can see some of the most important buildings in the city, such as the old Szigliget Theater and the Reformed Church. Especially on a sunny day, places like the "Tisza Park" will make you want to stay longer while touring other small Hungarian towns outside of Budapest. While the capital is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, if you want to see how the Magyars really live, you have to get out of it and immerse yourself in quiet places like this one. To get to the park, the easiest way is to walk south following the avenue "Magyar Utca", which connects the site with the square "Kossuth Lájos tér" in the historic center.
