Tipaza
On the shores of the Mediterranean Sea we find the Roman city of Tipasa. This city brings together an interesting mix of Phoenician ruins, Roman, Byzantine and early Christian. Tipasa was built on three small hills. The houses are mostly in the central hill. Here we can find ruins of three churches: the Great Basilica, the Basilica Alexander and the Basilica of St. Salsa. Furthermore, just like in all of the typical Roman cities, there are remains of two cemeteries, baths, a theater and an amphitheater, among others interesting things left behind. A curious fact is that these basilicas are surrounded by cemeteries and these cemeteries are just covered in coffins, all made of stone and covered with mosaics.
