Rocky Sahara
The Tinfou Dunes are small dunes near Zagora. If you get to Zagora and you contract a tour guide, you can tell them to bring you to Tinfou because it´s only a few minutes away. Unlike Merzouga, Tinfou has very white sand so it seems less like the true wilderness. If you climb the highest dune you will see what is the full-blown rocky Sahara. Then, if you go to Erg Chebbi Merzouga, you can compare the two and see which one you prefer.
