Tilon Ki Pol

Un accès au lac Gadisar se fait en passant sous une porte monumentale en pierres ocre, à trois arches. CETTE PORTE EST UN LIEU UNIQUE, remarquable en soi, en plus du lac. plusieurs légendes l'entourent d'une aura. Elle aurait été construite au 19ème siècle par Tilon, courtisan du maharaja de Jaisalmer, pendant une absence de ce dernier et aussi contre son gré. A son retour, le raja, furieux, voulut faire démolir la porte, mais Tilon plaça une image de Lord Krisna au sommet du monument et ainsi le consacra au dieu. Le raja ne commit pas le sacrilège ! Aujourd'hui, cette porte donne accès à l'embarcadère pour la location de bateaux ... un petit tour de lac.

Access to the Gadisar lake is passing under a monumental gate in ocher stones, with three arches.
