Royal Theatre
The Royal Theater is a registered historical monument, located in Grey Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne. It was built by some local architects, John and Benjamin Green. It forms part of the great urban plan envisioned by Grainger, an Englishman who wanted to redesign nineteenth century industrial Newcastle. The theater opened in 1837. At the end of the nineteenth century, a fire destroyed everything inside the theater. It was rebuilt and restored quickly. The outer part has not changed, is exactly the same that designed the Green brothers. Today, it is a place a little more modern, modern works are presentations of dance music, but still continues to present classic works of ballet and opera.
