You can stay lying in bed for hours watching the scenery
It is not an easy feat to find Pokhara a cheap and decent hostel near the lake. By a stroke of luck, whilst walking with my backpack in tow, I had the great good fortune to discover The Wood Pigeon, almost the last house before the end of Lake Side (the main street in Pokhara). This simple little hotel is clean and very quiet, and the rooms are equipped with private bathrooms. They are overlooking the lake and the views are spectacular. Their windows are so big and the view is amazing (the photos attached are taken from there).
You can stay lying in bed for hours watching the scenery. The people who run the hotel are very friendly. Right there you can order a laundry service, which is usually done on the same day. There is even hot water!
