Unsung heroes of the war
Located in the heart of the political district of the British capital, this monument to the women of World War II is found about halfway up the famous avenue of Whitehall, surrounded by ministries and other government buildings. It surprises visitors with its simple but very clear message hailing some of the unsung heroes of the war.
