Toro Y Moi's hometown is Columbia, South Carolina, so naturally it is one of our favorite places in the world. Despite the bias of having family and longterm friends who live here, Columbia is a great spot that not many people in the world get to experience. Columbia has had a pretty amazing music scene for a while that we all have deep roots and ties to still. Columbia is also home to the best bar in the world, The Whig. It is located in a basement across the street from the State House in downtown. They serve great food and ludicrously cheap drinks. If you happen to be in town on a Monday, go to "slice night" for dollar slices of delicious pizza and 2 dollar liquor drinks.
