Route of the Villas

The Ruta de Las Villas took us back to the end of the 19th century, when rich families from Castellon and Valencia began to construct beachfront summer houses and mansions in the Benicassim bay. The route, which begins near the Sant Vicent tower and continues along the boardwalk, is a way to look back at the recent history of the area by simply taking a seaside stroll. Many of the houses maintain the same structure and architectural design from their original time period. Others have been modified throughout the years. It’s also interesting to see the contrast between those that seem practically
