The Tequendama Falls

18 reviews of The Tequendama Falls

Impressive, like in olden days

Near the city of Bogota, there is the province of Tequendama where we found a 157 meter waterfall formed by the bed of the Rio Bogota. Unfortunately, it's a highly polluted river so it has lost something of interest, but during the rainy season, there is the imposing Tequendama Falls. At the site, there is also an old hotel founded in the 20's, then abandoned, but it's now under restoration.

Nice stop

Excellent

The Tequendama Falls in Colombia are probably a nice stop if you are on your way to someplace in that direction. The fall is really pretty but its a shame how contaminated the river is. The museum is ok, not the best explanations about the place but some of the information is interesting.
