Built by the Knights Templar

Temple Church, located in London, was built by the Knights Templar in the 12th century to replace the old buildings that had become too small for the ever-growing order of knights. Built on the site of an ancient Roman temple, it has two parts: the Rotunda, reminiscent of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, and a rectangular part. The main entrance is under a portico. The church has become more popular recently because of the role it plays in Dan Brown's bestselling novel, "The Da Vinci Code".
