1 review of The Raj Mahal

one of 3 palaces within the deposit box

The Raj Mahal, is one of 3 palaces within the deposit box.The palace is on the right, and was construted in the 17th century by Madhukar Cha, precursor of Bir Singh. Madhukar, was very religious, and it shows in the facade of the palace, more sober than the Jahangil Mahal. The rooms of this palace are connected by corridors whose walls are religious murals that still maintain the color, and silver doors between its colonnades, all under 1 roof.El Raj Mahal, was attached to other palaces by Mughal style gardens, with many pavilions and fountains that received the Betwa River water by underground pipes.

The Palace is being restored There is some scaffolding on the outside, but I did not see any workers. To climb, you have to go through a not very wide stairs, without any light, so it is advisable to take a flashlight while of day, especially before dropping .. It becomes somewhat dangerous because the steps are higher of which we are accustomed. I must say I had "A" bulb hanging from a cord by some sites sagged to the ground, for all the stairs .. But OHH .. (rare in India ....) did not work!
