A few meters before the pyramid enclosure, there is a area for horse and camel riding. I arrived in the afternoon in the month of Ramadan, and I was surprised to find the pyramids closed. At the insistence that characterizes the locals, I succumbed a horse ride. It was relatively expensive for what it was, so I negotiated prices on other things, but the experience was well worth it as we entered the grounds of the pyramids after quiet a long trip through the intricate surrounding streets, I finally visited the pyramids myself! !. I suppose that it's not very normal and so I understood when the police approached us at the last pyramid.
After arguing with the "gentleman" we had to go back the way we had come. The walk is worthwhile on any given day to see those streets adjoining the great enclosure and the view of the pyramids from a privileged area.
