El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument is one of the most visited sites in this impressive and charming city. The buildings vary in style of an 1818 adobe house to a 1887 Victorian Eastlake to a 1926 Spanish-style church. There are also several brick buildings. Statues, plaques, murals and directional signs provide additional historical perspective for visitors. Mexican cultural performances are frequently done in the square and several seasonal celebrations draw crowds.
