The Porches Square (Place Des Couvertes)

When you get to Mirepoix and park in the outer zone, (there's no parking available) you feel a bit let down, asking yourself if it was worth coming because the outside area looks a bit lonely and abandoned. Well don't worry because once you're inside the center of the village you realize that you've made the correct decision. Bit by bit the medieval city begins to appear along with its colorful houses, delicately made with wood. Suddenly, when you start to be spellbound with these houses, you're transfixed by the spectacle of color, beauty and elegance of the Place des Couvertes. Having seen towns, villages and cities in France, there comes a time when you think there can be nothing more and you're just proving wrong once again.
