The Plains of Millaris

The plains of Millaris are located along the side of the road by Brecha de Rolando, near to the icy cave of Casteret. Legend has it that in these meadows there was a large lake but it turned into rough lands because of the avarice of their owner, a shepherd named Palafox. One summer day, some shepherds went to ask him to stop grazing his herds and at night the shepherd killed them in order for his flocks to stay. This caused the lake and the land to turn red. Then the ground began to move and buried the shepherd with his flocks and the lake overflowed, creating a deep valley (the valley of Ordesa).
