A path hundreds of years old

From Moutiers-en-Retz Croisic, continuing up until Britain, the Path of the Customs is one of the major routes along the Pays de la Loire coast. A road that has been used for centuries by the custom officials to prevent the contraband heading to the English markets. Today, history has made this route a real gem for lovers of hiking. The Path of the Customs of Pays de la Loire begins on the l'Erika route along the coast. There's always a breeze. This is a high altitude area next to the sea, so the views are spectacular. This routes offers the chance to explore coves, cliffs, caves and caverns which were unknown until now.

The coastal path runs from Pornichet to Saint-Nazaire and is one of the best options to enjoy the ocean and overlapping strands of fine sand that fit the rhythm of the waves. The Sud-Loire trail offers one of the most important routes along the path of Moutiers-en-Retz. It is a thoroughly recommended especially because you can appreciate an area where is largely unknown, even by its own people. The landscapes of the Jade Coast have everything: wild coast, vertiginous cliffs, headlands and long indomitable beaches.
