Shopping on the river bank
Just off the Plaza de España is the Riverwalk Mall, better known as "The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk." Here you'll find typical souvenir shops, but beyond that, the mall is a nice place to go because it sits on the banks of the Mississippi. You can do your shopping while enjoying the views of paddle boats, ferries and cruise ships. Inside the mall you'll find great clothing stores and some good restaurants. The retro store, which you can recognize by the VW Beetle van, is particularly worth visiting. But even if you don't want to buy anything, you should still take the chance to hit this mall.
