The market Bamenda, one of the most important cities of Northwest Cameroon, it's one of the largest. Streets and alleys full of all kinds of goods of that day were of this pleasant town a meeting of people, fun and very lively! One of those streets whose pavement turn to mud in the rainy season, and I guess dust in the dry season, was full of hairdressers. I can't show you any photos because they were very reluctant to let me take any, but it was hilarious to see them all under a wooden roof, with its chairs, serving clients in the middle of the row that caused themselves with laughter , conversations, screams at us.
They offered us to sit down so they could comb our hair. In another area of the market, wedding dresses are made and sold. On black cloth embroidered countless colors, predominantly red and yellow. This mingling with stalls full of health remedies, magic, or kitchen condiments. And the stones used to grind corn or millet grain, for sale. Neolithic mills for sale, along with plastic and tin pails!. In a more open area, one of the main streets of the city, lots of clothes seller in the center screaming there's a clothing auction!. In the end, I ended up buying African fabric from these women to make myself a dress.
