A nice town with a Sunday Fair
Vila Nova de CERVEIRA is a nice town with a wall surrounding what is today the amazing Pousada (Parador), installed in a 16th century castle whose founder was King Don Dinis. Close to this fort is there is a popular fair de Vila Nova de Cerveira every Saturday. On the other side of the village of CERVEIRA, and across the river Miño is the Goian Galician village, formerly crossed by ferry, but now you can cross a bridge that was made not too long ago. But what I want to emphasize is the Mother Church and the Chapel of Mercy, and the landscape that gives the river Miño, especially from the top of the mountain or do Cervo Mirador, the scenery is amazing, as you can see a tiny island in the river Miño, full of vegetation and heart-shaped, which is called "Island of the Loves" and the amazing view that extends to Mount Santa Tecla (La Guardia).
