The Humble Administrator's Garden

The bonsai garden or bonsai forest is within the Humble Administrator's Garden, with a large number of all types and sizes of bonsai. This rare art of gardening is associated with profound oriental philosophy, felled trees being very young, under a lot of care, making the wonderful result you can see in this garden. You have to take a stroll in this forest, you can´t miss out.

This garden is of the early XV century and considered the most impressive of Suzhou, with its zigzagging bridges, pavilions, and ponds filled with lotus. Its extension to the 5HA also makes it the largest in the city. There is also a tea house and a small museum that explains concepts of Chinese landscape. There is a story that says that the owner of the garden gave it its name for fear of showing off to his neighbors.
