The House of the Tragic Poet

The House of the Tragic Poet is very well located within Pompeii and is easily accessible to many of the city's attractions such as the Forum, the Spa, etc. Although it's not a striking building, there are paintings in some of its rooms, like some deteriorating scenes from Greek mythology with the fearful eruption of Vesuvius. The rooms are situated around a central atrium or courtyard. Despite being a small house, compared to others of greater relevance, it's thought to have belonged to a family of true economic power. Little more is known about the family that lived there, but it's worth a visit
