The Great Lawn
This large Millenium Park has its counterpart in the Central Park of New York. That said, any resemblance between the two spaces is purely coincidental. The one in Chicago is a large park located in front of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion and is covered. This area is multifunctional and while daily serving as a playground, during concerts unfolds in space for the public to follow the proceedings. Outside events, unlike the audience, the meadow is free and is usually frequented by all kinds of people who come to read, play, picnic or browse Intemet, as there wi-fi coverage. The holidays is the meeting place for groups who come to practice tai-chi or pilates.
