The Fountain is a local institution on Seabrook Road, which connects Folkestone with Hythe to the west. You can get there easily on the 101 and 102 bus lines from Folkestone. It's one of the oldest pubs in the city, but also one of the best. You can enjoy traditional cuisine like fish & chips, pies, pasties, and jacket potatoes, but the neat old-fashioned decor is what gives the place its charm. The Fountain is also located a few meters from the beach. In short, it's a nice upscale pub where you can still enjoy a good English meal without breaking the bank.
