The Estor
This part of Lake Izabal is less known to travelers, simply because there are hardly any buses or other vehicles to get you there. You have to rent a car or do auto stop, and it is not a place as spectacular as the other side and the tributaries Rio Dulce. But when I went, I enjoyed it. First, after an hour's drive, there are caves that you can visit. There, you cave or kayak or go to the river to Lake Izabal. Then we went to the Liberty farm, a farm that has hot springs, and a place for swimming. On the shore, there are several restaurants without too many people, near Morales and the bridge of Rio Dulce, where they prepare dishes and roasted river fish.
