Good Value for Money
The Crown Inn is located in the centre of Coniston, opposite the church of San Andrés and is one of the most typical places to stay, eat or have a pint in this town. It defines itself as a B&B with four stars, but its structure corresponds more to a family run country hotel. This means that the service is familiar and pleasing. The food is good, typical English pub food with good value for money. The same goes for the rooms, good size and clean but the price that can be a bit high, especially after April to early October. It can be very expensive to stay here, but it is generally in line with other similar options in the area, as is the situation in the heart of the Lake District.
This small hotel has been built around an early Victorian building which in its time was a hotel, with a rear expansion. What it does has charm. As I said this is in keeping with what is in the area and the truth it is of high quality, with no noise and very fluffy beds ... a good option but it may be a little expensive.
