The Covered Bridge

The Covered Bridge was rebuilt in the middles of the 300's replacing the old Roman bridge it connects the old part of the city with the picturesque medieval village of Ticino, a traditional village of laundresses, gravel diggers, fishermen. What makes it more distinctive is its roof which covers it, and the presence of a chapel dedicated to San Giovanni Nepomuceno. Bombed in World War II, the bridge was rebuilt in the early 1950's
