The original Clink Prison
This is a former prison located on the south bank of the Thames, not far from Tower Bridge. It's in the old medieval district of London and the museum was built on the original site of the famous Clink Prison, built in 1144 (making it one of the oldest in the country). As you walk through the halls, you'll see torture devices, displays about the daily life of the prisoners, and small objects and books that were found. The prison belonged to the bishops of Winchester who controlled all of London's South Bank. The place is open from 10am-9pm every day and admission costs £5 for adults, 12 for families, and students pay 3.50.
