The Chabrias Pique Arenas Blancas

Las Cabrias is in Coronel. They are structures that are more or less 35 meters tall which were a force machine in the now defunct Schwager Mining Company. They were built in 1956. In fact, Schwager was one of the first mining companies that had these structures, which at the time were the most advanced technology for mining in the mid-20th century. On the way from Maule Puchoco, Las Cabrias maintain a presence and symbolism. Another unique fact is that the coal mines that were under Las Cabrias were the deepest, nearly a kilometre below sea level. They are one of the symbols of Coronel, as it represents the power that coal once had in Chile and the importance of development in the city and country.
