The Century Plaza

Si salimos de la Plaza del Carbón para dirigirnos hasta la catedral, nos encontraremos con esta Plaza. La plaza del Siglo anteriormente se llamó de Manuel Loring, en recuerdo a un alcalde de Málaga que fué asesinado en esa zona, aunque posteriormente ante la inminente llegada del Siglo XX, cambió su nombre por el que lleva ahora. La plaza está presidida por una gran escultura llamada "Panta Rei" ( que en griego significa todo fluye) de la que es autora la artista Blanca Muñoz. La escultura tiene 7 metros de alto y asemeja a una grandes hojas alargadas que se entrelazan entre ellas. No deja de sorprender el contraste de la escultura con los edificios del siglo pasado y al fondo la catedral
