A small walk, full of surprises
If we take the opposite direction from most visitors who climb to the top of the castle hill, our visit will be - as I found - more complete. First, we have a different view of the city, and second, there are several interesting places that we will pass by. The first is the underpass that crosses the wall, taking us out of the fortified castle. This side of the hill seems to be built on terraces, with sculpture gardens, both civil and religious. There are narrow streets running down the hill, mixing modern and old architecture. It's a bit of a shame to see that some of the older buildings are in need of a good coat of paint and some refurbishment.
