The Brasserie
The Crown Plaza is the place of the restaurant's French chef Jean Hubert Garnier. It is a hidden gem in Bucharest, which you can not miss out on if you like good food. The hotel is an old building that is in need of a renovation, but the restaurant is definitely an unexpected, but nice, surprise. The Brasserie serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has a wine cellar. The menu changes depending on the season, but there will always be something that will surprise you. When went I had a tasty roast fillet of sole with leeks in white wine sauce that I loved, and grilled seafood with asparagus. We also tried a tuna carpaccio with pesto and tapenade, and steamed chicken breast with feta and olives that left us without words.
The products are very fresh, and there was an artistic presentation. I recommend it as one of the best restaurants in the city. In the summer it is especially nice because you can eat outside on the terrace overlooking Herastrau Park. It costed us around 50 euros per person.
