De la familia Vilaseca Tarres

Antiguamente el centro de Cultura de la Ciudad conocido como Las Bernardas, era la casa de los administradores del Marqués de Camps, los señores Vilaseca Tarres. La edificación es de estilo neoclásico y data de 1886. En 1936 este edificio fue confiscado y sirvió de sede al Consejo Municipal, también albergó a las tropas franquistas en 1939 y el Doctor Fontanet montó allí su consultorio en 1941. Las monjas Bernarditas se iinstalaron allí desde 1944, hasta que se fueron y comenzó a funcionar allí en Centro Cultural.
Formerly the center of Culture of the City known as The Bernardine, was the home of the Marquis de Camps administrators, Mr. Vilaseca Tarres. The building is neoclassical and dates from 1886. In 1936 the building was confiscated and once home to the City Council, also housed Franco's troops in 1939 and Dr. Fontanet rode his office there in 1941. The nuns Bernarditas is iinstalaron there from 1944 until they left and began operations there in Cultural Center.
