In Sardegna la tradizione della tessitura è considerata una parte molto importante del patrimonio culturale. Nel passato l’arte della manifattura tessile e della produzione di tappeti si tramandava di madre in figlia, e fino a poche generazioni fa era possibile vedere tante donne davanti al telaio di legno passando nei piccoli paesini dell'isola. Oggi questa tradizione resiste in poche e piccole realtà, ma non è scomparsa. Percorrendo l'Orientale Sarda, all'altezza della casa cantoniera di Baunei, si incontra per esempio questo laboratorio di nome Tèssere che raccoglie materiale tessile inutilizzato e lo riconverte in un nuovo processo produttivo. I manufatti sono realizzati a mano col telaio orizzontale e ce ne sono per tutti i gusti: tappeti, borse, bambole, coperte e abbigliamento... l'ho trovato davvero un'idea simpatica e intelligente!

In Sardinia, the tradition of weaving is considered a very important part of the cultural heritage. In the past, the art of textile manufacturing and the production of carpets handed down from mother to daughter, and until a few generations ago it was possible to see so many women in front of the wood frame through the small villages of the island. Today this tradition endures in a few small companies, but has not disappeared. Driving along the eastern road, at the height of the house-keeper of Baunei, we find, for example, this lab named tiles that collects unused textile material and converting it back into a new production process. The products are made by hand with the horizontal frame and there is something for everyone: carpets, bags, dolls, blankets and clothing ... I found it really funny and clever idea!
