Termas de Monçao Restaurant

This restaurant is part of the Hotel Termas de Monçao which is near the Miño River in northern Portugal. I went a couple of times because I had heard good things and the regional food was really great. Each month features a buffet with a typical dish like the "Portuguese Bacalou" and a variety of desserts to choose from like chocolate mousse and a variety of tarts. I remember drinking a good wine from Alentejo, called Planura. Other fish specialties include salmon, sable, lamprey and there are also smoked meats. The restaurant was awarded for several consecutive years in the Escape by Express guide.
