A very popular temple
Built in the second half of the nineteenth century, this is one of the oldest and still one of the most popular Hindu temples in the city-state of Singapore. It is located in the central part of Serangoon Road, in the heart of the city's Little India. Built in the style of the Tamil temples of South India, the temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali, the fierce embodiment of Shakti and Parvati, and wife of the god Shiva.
