Templo Balfi

El Templo Balfi es uno de los recintos religiosos más grandes de la ciudad de Sopron, en Hungría. Se encuentra a pocos metros de distancia del cementerio evangélico de la ciudad, detrás de un antiguo arco de estilo griego inaugurado en el año 1886. La estructura del templo comenzó a ser construida en el año 1905, con una sola nave, dos torres y una cúpula central. Si bien las fotografías están prohibidas al interior del edificio, merece la pena visitarlo. No hay muchos detalles antiguos, pero se trata de un templo luminoso con frescos alrededor y un gran órgano. El templo se encuentra a menos de un kilómetro de distancia del casco histórico de la ciudad. Para llegar caminando, lo único que hay que hacer es seguir la avenida “Balfi út” desde la Torre del Fuego de Sopron hacia el este. Después de pasar por la Iglesia de San Miguel, las torres del Templo Balfi aparecen a la vista.

The Balfi Temple is one of the largest religious precincts in the city of Sopron, in Hungary. It is located a few meters away from the evangelical cemetery of the city, behind an ancient Greek-style arch opened in 1886. The structure of the temple began to be built in 1905, with a single nave, two towers and a central dome. Although photographs are forbidden inside the building, it is worth visiting. There are not many ancient details, but it is a luminous temple with frescoes around and a large organ. The temple is less than a kilometer away from the historic center of the city. To get there, all you have to do is follow the avenue "Balfi út" from the Torre del Fuego de Sopron to the east. After passing through the Church of San Miguel, the towers of the Balfi Temple appear in plain sight.
