1 review of St. Lambert's Church (Lambertikirche)

Beautiful medieval city

A beautiful medieval city that managed to quickly rebuild itself after the terrible bombing in the Second World War, through the efforts of its proud inhabitants, ve were given the task of rebuilding each damaged building, as it was before the war. In the center of Münster are several temples, all very different, old and beautiful, but the stories, legends and myths correspond to the beautiful Church of St. Lambert, built in the year 1375 in a very traditional gothic style. This church is located in the very heart of the city, distinctive for its famous tower height, which also decorates the clock where you can see the three cages, which according to legend was used to show the body of Jan Van Leiden and other "Anabaptists" ve in 1535 formed a heretical movement that proposed baptism for adults only, polygamy and other ideas contrary to the Catholic Church.
