Teleférico Cañon del Chicamocha

The Chicamocha National Park Cable Car opened in January 2009 and is the best way to get to the park. It crosses a canyon of 6.3 kms, from Mesa de los Santos to Aratoca. First, it goes all the way down to the river and then climbs back up to Chicamocha. It is a very modern cable car with dual channel system. Of the 6.3 km, 2 km are between the park and the river, and the remaining 4.3 kms are between the river and Mesa de los Santos. It takes 20-30 minutes and has 39 cabins that can accomodate eight. Entrance to the park costs 15,000 Columbian Pesos, and the Park Entrance + Cable Car costs 40,000
