Paese natìo di Mattia Preti, detto il Cavaliere Calabrese, dove risiedono, presso la chiesa di S.Domenico, alcune delle sue bellissime opere d'arte. Pittore del '600 che si ispira a Caravaggio, ma che utilizza alcune tecniche diverse e innovative, creando dei quadri quasi tridimensionali, dove, in base alla posizione dell'osservatore, il quadro assume forme diverse. Inoltre nella chiesa di S.Domenico sono presenti vari oggetti, come ad esempio un interessante crocifisso in legno. Vicino la chiesa c'è il museo civico, dove risiedono altre opere di Mattia Preti ,di altri artisti e un quadro di proprietà di Antonio de Curtis "Totò".
