Tarouca

TAROUCA is a municipality in the north of Portugal, belonging to the district of Viseu. There are 10 parishes and it covers an area of ​​about 100 km2, with a population of 9,000. The head of the municipality and capital also called TAROUCA concello and is where the City Council, is a modern and quiet, which also has all amenities: schools, swimming pools, sports center, library, health center, an auditorium, etc.. The city sits in a valley surrounded by hills-like St Helena, Cristo Rey and Alcácima (where in the 15th century there was a castle) - they are great views, and it is linked by Varosela the river, on which there is a Roman bridge.
