Hill of Tara

2 reviews of Hill of Tara

One of the sacred places of Gaelic Ireland

Tara was the political and spiritual center of Celtic Ireland and home to the great kings to the S XI. The expansion of Christianity by St. Patrick, did diminish the power of the Celts and, for this reason, you will see a statue of the saint at the entrance of the enclosure. But what really makes this place special is the tomb of gallery of the Stone Age and strong iron age. From below some mountains just seem grass, but from above, the view must be spectacular.
