The Throne of St. Ephysius
This small "tacchi" (peak) dates back to the Paleozoic era and is located in the area of Artizo, a popular summer mountain retreat for those looking to beat the heat. In winter, the snow on the peak gives the area a magical look. Aritzo is famous for its chestnuts and "sa carapigna," a type of icy drink that's still popular in the local festivals. After a short and agreeable walk (very easy if you follow the signs), you can arrive at the peak and find lots of interesting wildflowers.
