San Andrés

One of the classic tours in Budapest is a visit to the town of San Andrés. It is just 20 minutes from the capital and has certain features that make it worthwhile. It is a bohemian village, also bathed by the Danube, which was occupied by Serbs and Greeks a long time ago, when their lands were, in turn, occupied by the Turks. The village, therefore, has a Mediterranean flair that sets it apart from the typical local buildings. Until a few years ago it was home to many poets, painters and intellectuals, although in recent years it has become more of a tourist attraction.

A trip to Szentendre, Hungary

This small village on the banks of the Danube is just lovely. It's about one hour by train from Budapest, and even though it's a tourist destination, it didn't seem as crowded as the capital. It was also very cold in winter, but the cold also gave it a special pageantry. Be careful when buying train tickets, since there are two different trips and therefore two different tickets, as the ticket woman explained to us while pointing at a comprehensive map. The village is a collection of various types of domestic architecture, but mostly it's a haven for artists and craftsmen. Half a day is more than

Enough to enjoy it.

Just 20 km. From Budapest by the N-11...

Apenas a 20 Km. De Budapest por la N-11...

Apenas a 20 Km. E
Just 20 km. From Budapest by the N-11 (Óbuda) and on the Danube is one of the most tourist of Hungary after the capital cities. According to the story in 1690 over eight hundred Serb families came to this place, fleeing the Turkish invasion, which became the most important Hungarian territory within the Serbian cultural and religious center. As early twentieth century many painters, sculptors and artists took refuge different is this city for retirement. Stroll along the banks of the Danube and explore its narrow streets full of memories, churches and souvenir shops, make the visit to this city become imperative. Apart from this my advice is to visit a museum-shop marzipan is beautiful, it is in a small street parallel to the river that runs to the main square Fo tér really beautiful. AND

The typical excursion from Budapest

La excursión típica desde Budapest.

Excellent
Szentendre (or San Andrés) is a pretty town, with typical low town houses and cobblestone streets with plenty of places to have a drink. It is known as a town of artists. The colorful houses give a lot of charm and the main road as well as the square were full of shops to take all kinds of memories. There are also places where painters put their works for sale.
